Post Card Pals, Happy Birthday

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!  Due to the holidays, I am a bit behind on my plans for the  week.  The Post Card Pals are my featured item for the week.

I had fun creating this card.  To make his stump, I just cut out a 1x2 scrap piece of white card stock then colored in with Blending pens, rounded edges.  Had to cut out the center where the pelican stood, so it looked like he was standing on it.

I created the background on the Night of Navy Card stock, by using the paste and pattern.  It was my first time playing with it, and you will see more of it.  It was fun and I heard I could add color to the paste before putting on the patterns!  Can't wait to try that!
