Working with Magnets

This is a super fun project to work with kids. Even grownups get into it and create too many magnets lol

I used the stamp set Country Home item #147678 and magnets I purchased off Amazon.
I also used the Stampin Blends to color them in.

Rooted in Nature Winter Wonderland

Hello Stampers!!

I got some down time and created 2 videos today using Rooted in Nature.  I will get the second one uploaded tomorrow.   I love using this bundle with these colors.  Great Guy cards with no frills and lace 👨

I know I will be busy the next couple weeks with family, cooking, baking and just having tons of fun but I do hope I can find some more down time to create a few more cards for you.

Update!

Hello Everyone!

As most of you know, I recently moved from Alaska back down to Colorado to be closer to family.  This Christmas Season is the first time I have been with all my family in years.  We have kids and grand kids coming to spend time as well so it is going to be very busy!

I am going to be taking a break from my Stampin Up business to spend more time with family.  I will do my best to at least check in once a week as time allows. This break will include this blog, FB and You Tube/ 

With the new year approaching, I am also looking at doing things differently with my blog and YouTube.    This break will give me time to get it all sorted out and have a plan come January 1st!  I am excited about the changes I will be making and can't wait to share it with everyone!!

My hope is that everyone has a super fun, safe Christmas Season and remember to take lots of pictures so you have plenty to create some beautiful pages come January!! 

Burlap Background with Rooted in Nature

I used the Burlap to create my background then used the Rooted in Nature Bundle set to create this card.  While making this card, I came up with a couple more ideas that I might see what I can do with.

Scrapbook Layouts using the Buffalo Check

Here's a 2 page layout using the Buffalo stamp  and the Christmas Pines.   After I completed video, I realized I forgot the place the extra lines on the Buffalo check on the second page :)  I don't think it really affected the layout tho.

Post Card Pals, Happy Birthday

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!  Due to the holidays, I am a bit behind on my plans for the  week.  The Post Card Pals are my featured item for the week.

I had fun creating this card.  To make his stump, I just cut out a 1x2 scrap piece of white card stock then colored in with Blending pens, rounded edges.  Had to cut out the center where the pelican stood, so it looked like he was standing on it.

I created the background on the Night of Navy Card stock, by using the paste and pattern.  It was my first time playing with it, and you will see more of it.  It was fun and I heard I could add color to the paste before putting on the patterns!  Can't wait to try that!

Petal Palette with Stampin Blends

I had planned on doing a video on this card, but haven't had the time.  I have a new job and they are flipping me back and forth from nights to days each day, so find myself using free time to sleep.  Hopefully it all gets somewhat normal so I can find more time to play 😉

This stamp and framelit set and super fun to use.  Really gives you opportunity to mix it up and create so many different cards.  I tried to keep it to only 2 colors of the Stampin Blends if you are just getting started using them.

This card was done with your basic A2 size card (5 1/2 x 4 1/4)  I used the Whisper White cardstock so I could create my own background with a stamp from the set.

I will be doing a live Video on Friday on my FB business page and if I have a brain lol, I will also show you how to create this card then.

ONLINE STAMP Class Details....

Here is how it will work.

For each online class we will make 6 cards with 3 different designs.

I will post picture of the stamp set we will be using.

Along with a list of items you will need to have on hand to create these cards. (you may need to order some of it)

You will need the reusable items such as stamp set, inks, adhesive etc.

I will supply all the consumable items such as paper, envelopes, embellishments, (ribbon, twine, pearls etc)

Christmas Pines with Shimmer Paint

On the 2 cards shown, I used the same stamp sets, Christmas Pines and Country Home for the quote.

I wanted to experiment applying the shimmer paints directly onto my stamps and create my own background.  The results were stunning!!  Seeing the cards in real life versus camera are totally different, but hope this gives you an idea.   Once I feel a bit more comfortable using the shimmer paints, I will do a video on them.

Using Chalk

Happy Sunday everyone!!  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Yesterday we went up to the Apple Fest.  Had a blast seeing all the booths and sampling the foods.   Then stopped at the Dollar store and finally found some kids chalk.  I am hoping today I can do a live video feed on the Stamping Club page showing how to use chalk when you don't have other mediums for coloring in your stamped images. 

All you will need is.. Chalk, q-tips and of course your stamped image.

Lovely As A Tree

Today I attempted to use the Shimmer Paints that came out in the new holiday catalog.  Wanted to get a video made since I am so far behind on them.   As  you will see.... I am not an expert by any means lol.  But I think they are going to be fun once I get them figured out.  I do like how they shimmer and make the coolest backgrounds.

Animal Outing 1st Birthday

This is just one of the 3 cards I made for my great nephews.  My sister requested the cards and requested each one to be different.

Instead of making them my normal size of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I increased it to be 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 so I could decorate just a bit more.  I also used the envelope punch board to make a matching envelope.  After stamping the images, I colored in using the Blending Pens (I just LOVE the blending pens!)

It's already Thursday and I still feel unorganized lol.   I pretty much have my crafting area unpacked, but it's not organized yet so I can find things.  Funny how we get so used to where we keep things and once you change that, you can no longer find what you are looking for. 

I was able to get a bit creative yesterday.   I have 3 great nephews all having first birthdays in the next couple weeks.  My sister requested I make birthdays cards for her.  By tonight, I will get at least one of them shown on here.  Instead of making them the normal A-2 size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2), I increased them to be 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 and then made my own envelopes using the envelope maker  #133774 so I could have matching envies.  

If you haven't tried the Envelope Punch Board yet, you should!!  Its super easy!!! 

New Chapter in Life

It has been a couple weeks since posting on my blog, but once you read through this post, you will see why.  

On Sept 11th, I set out with Boomer (my cat) on a new adventure to start a new chapter in my life.  Had a beautiful but wet drive through Canada. Got to experience snow, sleet, rain and about 1/2 day of sun, in the week it took to go through.  Colors where changing, saw lots of wildlife once I got into British Columbia.  Even got to watch the Bison fighting in the roadway! 

Arrived at my sisters in Eckert, Colorado in the afternoon of the 17th   So I have been here a few days, but haven't done much on the computer.  I brought a few of my stamping items in my jeep with me, mainly the items I didn't want to freeze.  The moving company estimated it to take 30-45 days to arrive from Alaska, so expected everything to arrive towards end of October.  Well, to my very happy surprise, they will be here today!!!!   Oh I can't wait to dig in all the boxes to find all my treasures, it will feel like Christmas to open all my boxes of crafts!!

It will take me a few days to organize but hoping by the end of next week I am back on track with my creating.   Might take me a week longer to get back on track with making the videos.  But I will get there!!

Healing Hugs Stamp Set

Today I decided to use the Healing Hugs stamp set along with the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  The stamp set is one the new designs called Dist-Ink-Tive.  It is ONE stamp, and ink it just ONCE and you get this beautiful design!   After stamping, I used the Wink of Stella on the rose to make it pop! I can't wait to see if they come out with more of these type of stamps.

Country Home

Wanted to create another simple yet cute card using my new stamp set Country Home.  The Checkered background is a new stamp that will be available September 5th.  This is a MUST have!  I just love it... it is an A-2 Sized stamp!  You will probably see quite a few cards made with this stamp and I apologize that you can't order it until then.  One of the many perks of being a demonstrator is getting the new items about a month early.
